Gayatri Mantra & Gratitude Meditation
Welcome to this mantra and meditation practice to cultivate gratitude. We will be working with the highly revered Gayatri Mantra, from one of the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism. The Gayatri Mantra loosely translates to "May the light of the universe illuminate and inspire us on a physical, emotional, spiritual and mental layer". It is dedicated to Savitar, the sun god, and is considered a powerful invocation for enlightenment and spiritual awakening.

This Loving Kindness Meditation, also known as "Metta Meditation" is rooted in Buddhist tradition and originated in ancient India. The term "metta" comes from the Pali language, where "meta" means "mind" and "tta" means "heart", "love" or "kindness". Release Tension Meditation
So often, we move through our day unconsciously holding tension in the body (this may be physically, mentally, or emotionally). This muscle relaxation exercise helps to reduce stress, tension and anxiety in your body by having you slowly and actively tense, then release your muscles. During the practice, each muscle should be tensed, but not to the point of strain. If you have any injuries or pain, you can simply skip over the affected areas.
