Belly breathing, also called diaphragmatic or abdominal breathing, is a technique that focuses on engaging the diaphragm - the large, dome-shaped muscle located just beneath your lungs.
By breathing deeply into our belly, we encourage fuller, more efficient breaths that allow for a greater exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide than shallow chest breathing.
